My first official finished quilt for 2022 and my goodness, I so love everything about this quilt. It is of course another slow sewing project - English paper pieced - a process that continues to hold all of my attention. Hexagons especially are a favorite. I know they're not for everyone, as they can be tedious to piece with lots of stop/start seams. But I just love them, I could sew hexagons all day, every day right now.

A Finished Quilt
I've finally completed this little art quilt. This one started out with the frame. I had one that Richard had made but I'd measured incorrectly, so it was just sitting, waiting for something. This sunset is my rendition of a photo I took one evening after a rainstorm.
A Finished Quilt
I finally have a finish that I can show you. This is a small hand quilted art piece that I started weeks ago. I should have finished last week, as planned, but bipolar depression can get in the way of lots of should haves. Anyway, it's finished now and I love it.
It is Bayou Des Glaises at Bordino Crossing. Bordino Crossing is the bridge that is closest to my late grandmother's old home place. She died in 1991 and I still think of her and miss her. I'd worked on another piece with a part of ... read more
